Canature 001×8 is a high-purity, high-capacity gel sulfonated polystyrene strong acid cation resin. It is supplied in the sodium or hydrogen form as moist, tough, uniform spherical beads. It is intended for water softening, dealkalisation, deionisation and chemical processing. It comes in a standard (0.4–0.8 mm) and a small (0.3–0.6 mm) bead size.
