What is UV disinfection?
Using UV water disinfection systems is a safe way to destroy the harmful micro-organisms and bacteria in water. Ultraviolet disinfection destroys the genetic structure of micro-organisms and makes it impossible for them to reproduce.
Using UV light does not change the chemical structure or the taste of the water. The technology successfully eliminates the viruses and bacteria that cause cholera, typhoid, E. coli, hepatitis and other diseases.
- Destroys 99.99% of bacteria and viruses
- Does not change the taste or chemical composition
- No hazardous chemicals or by-products

BENEFITS OF UV TECHNOLOGY
Why UV disinfection is the preferred method for disinfecting water
No chemicals
No hazardous chemicals are used. UV disinfection is a completely safe method of disinfection.
Low consumption
Minimal electricity costs. UV lamps use about as much energy as an ordinary light bulb.
Long service life
A long service life for the system. The UV lamp is replaced only once a year.
Easy maintenance
Minimal technical maintenance. The only task is replacing the UV lamp periodically.
Compact size
Compact, reliable systems that fit easily into an existing plumbing installation.
Environmentally sound
No toxic by-products. UV disinfection does not pollute the environment.

How does UV disinfection work?
The UV lamp emits ultraviolet light at a wavelength of 254 nm, which penetrates the cells of micro-organisms and destroys their DNA structure, making it impossible for them to reproduce.
The water passes through a stainless steel chamber with the UV lamp mounted in the centre. As it passes, the water is intensively irradiated, eliminating up to 99.99% of bacteria, viruses and parasites.
Instant action
Disinfection is instantaneous as the water passes through the chamber
Preserves the taste
Does not change the chemical structure, taste or smell of the water
Annual replacement
The only maintenance is replacing the UV lamp once a year
Environmentally clean
No by-products and no environmental pollution
HOW WE WORK
From consultation to installation and maintenance — the full service cycle
Consultation
We discuss your needs — the type of water source, the flow rate and what the water is for. We advise on the right UV system.
Water sample and analysis
We take a water sample for microbiological analysis. We establish the presence of bacteria, viruses and micro-organisms.
Selecting a UV system
We select the optimal UV system for your flow rate and level of contamination. We prepare an individual quote.
Delivery
We deliver the UV system with every component needed — lamp, stainless steel chamber and controller.
Professional installation
Installation by qualified specialists. Connection to the mains and testing of effectiveness.
Maintenance and servicing
Annual replacement of the UV lamp and a system check. We guarantee consistently effective disinfection.
Frequently asked questions
Answers to the most common questions about UV water disinfection.
What is UV disinfection?
UV water disinfection is a safe way to destroy harmful micro-organisms and bacteria. Ultraviolet disinfection destroys the genetic structure of micro-organisms and makes it impossible for them to reproduce.
Does UV disinfection change the taste of the water?
No. Using UV light does not change the chemical structure or the taste of the water. The water keeps its natural taste, with no added chemicals.
Which diseases does UV disinfection prevent?
UV technology successfully eliminates the viruses and bacteria that cause cholera, typhoid, E. coli, hepatitis and other waterborne diseases.
How often should the UV lamp be replaced?
The UV lamp is replaced once a year for optimal effectiveness. Replacement is a quick, straightforward job that one of our technicians can carry out.
Which water sources is a UV system suitable for?
UV disinfection suits every kind of water source — boreholes, wells and the mains network. The system is selected according to the flow rate and your specific needs.
How much does a UV disinfection system cost?
The price depends on the capacity of the system and the water flow rate. Get in touch for an individual quote tailored to your particular needs.
